A Touch of Magic

What is Magic? It’s a difficult “topic” to write about… Because there are moments and feelings that have no words to describe them.

Magic… Moments. That can last a second. Or a lifetime. Or that you feel like a second. Or like time has stopped somehow!

“With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Peter 3:8)

Moments os Sharing. Of Giving. Of Living. Simple things like beeing gifted with the opportunity to admire a perfection of a snow flake for a few seconds… Deep emotional like our son’s birth.

And Life itself? Created trough God’s Word… In Genesis, before each moment of Creation, we can read “God SAID” …

There are so many things that we don’t understand. But does that mean that they aren’t true? What about what we feel? What about those “phenomenons” that science cannot explain?

” After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes (…) So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.” ( John 9:6)

And also those situations we go trough, and after we start to think it was an illusion of our minds… Was it?

The Bible is full of examples of Magic… From the Creation itself to the most misterious situations. Like when Elijah was taken with a chariot of fire (2 Kings 2:11), or when Philip was taken by the Spirit of God to somewhere else, after he baptised the eunuch (Acts 8:26 to 40)…

“Whoever has ears, let them hear.” (Mathew 11:15)

We all believe. Some, just do not… Seek!

  1. “we think too much and we feel so little ..”.
    The magic ..
we are obsessed by the discovery of formulas and by being pioneers in discovering something new … when … the most powerful formulas lie in the simplest form of our being!
in which and by which we were made ….
which is and can only be revealed … by the ONLY and CREATOR OF ALL THINGS …
    so .. let’s get to know him..better ..
silence .. and live and listen .. the movement .. it’s all around you..
    feel the magic..

  2. Magic… Someone told me one day “Magic is not the dominion over the invisible, but the Plenitude of the Communion with the Invisible.”. Magic is the seek of Human Beeing for the sense of Existence… A contact with Divinity…
” Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. ” Jonh 14:12

  3. True Magic resides on the Simplicity of Life… On the Capacity of Recognising the essence “between the lines”… World’s Soul… Like stated on “Brida” (Paulo Coelho) :

” Music only exists because the pauses exist. Sentences only exist because the blank spaces exist.”

Only trough Communion one can understand… C

  4. Because this is my favorite theme forever and ever …

Because when our eyes are lost beyond what is visible we can feel the magic in every detail … We have to stop and listen and see with the eyes of the soul every detail … whether in nature, in the smile of a child , shaking hands with an old man, between the lines of a book, walking around, a mental photograph of our loved ones, that prayer on the kitchen floor, tears in a train, smiling barefoot in a forest, a journey that we never did before, in the love we feel for each other, in growing old in wisdom, in the loneliness that teaches us so much of magic … in a casual conversation with someone …

The closer to Creation, the closer to God, the farther from the World. .. closer to the True Magic which is Communion with the Invisible.

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”
    – W.B. Yeats
